HI-BRO 15 is formulated with highly refined mineral oil incorporating fat, sculpture and chlorine as Extreme Pressure (EP) Additives. At elevated temperatures, these additives react chemically at the cutting edge to form metallic chloride film of molecular thickness. This feature is important in specialized broaching operations. It also provides improved surface finish.
Low viscosity of the product ensures excellent heat dissipation and faster setting of swarf.
The EP additives contribute to the extension of the life of expensive broaches.
This product is ideally suited for broaching of automotive components made from medium carbon steel, heat resistant stainless steel and nickel alloys.
